Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo to be hosted by Egyptian channel ONTV

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will be hosted by ONTV in his first ever interview with an Egyptian television channel.

Egyptian businessman Ahmed Abou-Hashima, the ONTV owner, posted a video on his Facebook page showing Ronaldo speaking about the interview.

Ronaldo will be hosted by prominent Egyptian presenter Amr Adeeb.

"Watch me on ONTV with Amr Adeeb," the 31-year-old said.

Abou-Hashima did not specify when the interview will be aired, saying it will be broadcast "soon". It was not clear whether it will take place in Madrid or Cairo.

Ronaldo won a host of titles with Manchester United and Real Madrid, including three Champions League accolades – one with United and two with Real Madrid.

He was named as the world's best player three times and is a frontrunner to scoop this year's prize after leading Portugal to their first ever Euro title earlier this year
